Infinity Bridge Launch

Infinity Bridge in Stockton officially opened!

An exciting extravaganza of entertainment with a world-first event and firework finale launched the Tees Valley’s latest landmark with a bang!

The £15 million Infinity Bridge at Stockton was officially opened in a grand ceremony on the evening of Thursday, May 14.

The spectacular show of sound and light saw a thrilling one-off performance especially commissioned to showcase the footbridge and the ongoing regeneration of the area.

People from across Tees Valley and the wider north east were invited to the riverbanks to witness the stunning bridge illuminated in all of its glory for the first time. Big screens were installed to ensure everyone has the best possible view.

Infinity Bridge is a dramatic addition to the area’s skyline, spanning the River Tees and linking Tees Valley Regeneration’s flagship North Shore development and the thriving Teesdale area of Thornaby. The opening event also launched the Infinity Spring Festival – an event set to become an annual entry in ‘what’s on’ calendars and an expansion of Stockton’s year round festival offering.
