Rock’n’roll Hall of Fame members The Animals relive the sounds of the 60s. A part of the budding, homegrown UK blues scene of the early 60s and one of the most noteworthy bands of the British Invasion, The Animals formed in Newcastle and their brawling, blues-based rock’n’roll reflects their upbringing.

The second of our ‘Infinity Spring Festival’ nights and a real star performer hits the Georgian Stage.

Kathryn Williams oozes talent - last time she played at the Georgian she had been performing earlier in the evening at the Sage at Gateshead on the bill with Suzanne Vega. Ex-Christians Member, Henry Priestman also joins the bill. His debut solo album ‘The Chronicles of Modern Life’ is having massive TV and radio coverage - this evening certainly promises to be one to remember.

Cuban singer-songwriter Yusa heads to ARC as part of WorldFest 2009, performing tracks from her latest offering Haiku. Yusa’s previous releases have resulted in BBC World Music Award nominations as well as winning er the coveted Cubadisco award.
